We’re excited to invite you to our upcoming Italian wine class, where you’ll have the opportunity to learn about and taste some of the most delicious wines from Sicily. The class will be held on two dates, April 23rd and 30th, and will be taught by Angelo, our expert wine sommelier.
During the class, you’ll have the chance to taste a variety of wines from the region, including those from The Etna Phenomenon and The Val di Noto.
The Etna Phenomenon refers to the wines produced on the slopes of Mount Etna, an active volcano in Sicily, Italy. These wines are known for their unique flavors and aromas, which are influenced by the mineral-rich soil and volcanic activity in the region. The wines produced on Mount Etna are typically made from indigenous grape varieties such as Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio, and are often described as having a delicate balance of acidity, tannins, and fruitiness.
